Snowmass Features Not-To-Be-Missed June Event Lineup

Snowmass Village, Colo., (May 30, 2018) – June brings summer sun, alfresco afternoons, and an eventful lineup of some of the season’s best festivals, happenings, and activities to Snowmass. Cars, craft beer, bikes, culinary feasts, and athletic feats highlight the Snowmass June 2018 event lineup.

“June in Snowmass, spectacular in terms of weather and atmosphere, kicks off the summer with several marquee festivals,” says Rose Abello, Tourism Director, Snowmass Tourism. “There is so much to do, with favorites like the Snowmass Rodeo and the Snowmass Free Concert Series, to feasts like the Snowmass Rendezvous Craft Beer Festival and Cochon 555’s Heritage Fire.”


On-going June Events:

Snowmass Free Concert Series – Saturday, June 9 & Thursdays, June 14, 21, 28: On 10 consecutive Thursdays starting June 14 and two bonus Saturdays (June 9 and July 21)) throughout the summer, Snowmass hosts a weekly free concert series on Fanny Hill, showcasing genres of music ranging from reggae, to soul, to funk, to rock. 2018 marks the 27th year of the Snowmass Free Concert Series. Click here for the full concert lineup.

Snowmass Rodeo – Wednesdays, June 13, 20, 27: The Snowmass Rodeo celebrates 45 years of operations this summer, making it one of the longest continuously running rodeo in Colorado. The Snowmass Rodeo takes place on Wednesdays, rain or shine, throughout the summer.

Fridays on the Mall – Fridays, June 15, 22, 29: Kick off the weekend on the Snowmass Mall with music, extended business hours, local artisans, food & drink specials, and more.


June Event Lineup:

Snowmass Automobili Exotica – June 8-9: Returning after a four-year hiatus, 3Zero3 Motorsports, a premier European automotive group based in Denver, returns to Snowmass with the Snowmass Automobili Exotica, which showcases classic Audi, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, and Mini Coopers in Snowmass during a new car show extravaganza on Saturday, June 9th in Snowmass Base Village.

Ragnar Trail Snowmass – June 8-9: The Ragnar Trail Snowmass, a team trail running race descends upon Snowmass Village for the sixth year. Teams rotate through three loops, ranging from easy to difficult, in a test of endurance and perseverance, culminating at the Ragnar Village finish line in Snowmass Town Park.

Snowmass Rendezvous Craft Beer Festival – June 8-9: Snowmass Rendezvous Craft Beer Festival gives guests a chance to taste the first sips of summer brews. On Friday, June 8th, guests are welcome to attend a series of new Brewer’s Pairing Dinners at restaurants around Snowmass Village, before indulging in beers from over 30 craft brewers during a three-hour grand tasting event on Saturday, June 9th. The weekend culminates with the first concert of the Snowmass Free Concert Series, a performance by Kyle Emerson at 3:30 p.m. and The Drunken Hearts, who take the stage at 6:45 p.m.

Cochon 555’s Rustic Grind & Heritage Fire – June 14 & 16: Rustic Grind, a precursor to Heritage Fire, takes place on Thursday, June 14th, during the Snowmass Free Concert Series. This Heritage Fire preview features wood-fired grills loaded up with heritage breed sausages paired with premium wines and hand-crafted cocktails. Located inside the concert venue, ticketed guests can enjoy unlimited food and drink for $40.

Complementing the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Heritage Fire returns on Saturday, June 16th for a slopeside, wood-fired, meat-laden feast. Over fifty notable chefs and butchers cook heritage bred animals over open fires on the slopes of Fanny Hill, including dry-aged beef, whole pigs, lamb, and goats alongside responsibly-raised fish, squab, rabbit, duck, fish, chicken, and locally grown heirloom vegetables. AREDAY & AREDAY Expo – June 18-23: Founded in 2004, American Renewable Energy Day (AREDAY) is a conference on climate change, renewable energy, and policy. Held annually in Snowmass each summer, AREDAY brings together community leaders from around the world to discuss the ever-changing issue of climate change and climate change solutions. AREDAY attracts national & international attention with its impressive roster of speakers and participants. Featured 2018 speakers include Jean-Michael Cousteau, Ocean Futures Society; Julie Ann Wrigley, Wrigley Investments; and Paul Hawken, Executive Director, Project Drawdown; among others. Snowmass Demo Days – June 23-24: Demo Days provides bike enthusiasts the chance to demo the season’s hottest bikes, with more than 20 vendors including Specialized, Kona, Cima, Why Cycles, and many more. The free two-day event takes place in Snowmass Base Village and occurs in conjunction with the opening weekend of the Snowmass Gondola and the Snowmass Bike Park.
